Welcoming our newest Rotary Exchange Student!!!

We are pleased to welcome our newest Rotary Exchange Student, Saara Laine!! She comes to us from Finland. 

She is 17 years old and her primary interests are sports.  She loves to play and watch ice hockey.  Her favourite sport is ringette, which she has played since the age of 6.  She has also played soccer in the summer and participated in track and field broad jump and high jump.  As you might guess, she runs a lot and she enjoys running to keep in good shape.  On the scholastic side, she likes to learn languages and likes to sing in a choir.  Her English is excellent and she also speaks German, French and some Swedish in addition to Finnish.
 
She spent the first couple of weeks with Anne and Larry Wright at their cottage. Now, she is spending her first stay with Bob and Wendy Strickert. Larry says she was a delight to have her stay with them and he believes the members will really identify with her and enjoy her company for the next year!
