Earlier this summer, we welcomed Jillian Howsam and Laura Dunlop from the North Durham Chamber of Commerce to share the story behind their Save the Float campaign — an effort to keep the beloved Port Perry Santa Float and Christmas Parade alive for years to come.
For over 29 years, Santa and his glowing reindeer have made their magical tour through Downtown Port Perry, kicking off the holiday season for countless families. But this beautiful, vintage float now needs major repairs — from electrical work to fresh paint — and the Chamber needs to raise $10,000 to make it safe to fly once more.
