The Rotary Club of Port Perry was delighted to welcome Steve Rutledge of the Whitby Sunshine Club as the guest speaker at our recent Club BBQ.
Steve gave members and their partners an update on the water filters purchased by our Club during his initial visit, highlighting the difference they continue to make in the lives of people in Laos. He also shared details of future projects and extended an open invitation for any member to travel with him, offering a chance to experience the culture and daily life of the Laotian people firsthand.
At the conclusion of the presentation, Club President Aubrey Oppers presented a contribution on behalf of the Club in support of Steve’s ongoing efforts. The evening wrapped up with thoughtful questions, meaningful discussion, and a deep appreciation for the important work Steve and his partners are doing to bring clean water and hope to communities in need.
