We were so honoured to have Geoff Lloyd, Ambassador for Shelter Box and a member of the Oshawa Club, come to visit us. He gave a very informative talk about Shelter Box - it's beginnings and impressive numbers on how many displaced people have been given shelter in camps due to conflict and natural disasters. It is a truly impressive organization and Geoff is the embodiment of an Ambassador and Rotarian. The Club surprised Geoff with a check to pay for two Shelter Boxes. These Shelter Boxes will give shelter to two families in dire need, along with providing water filters, solar lights, a stove, and many other essential items for daily living.
