New Scugog Animal Shelter is on its Way!!

Ginger Jackson and Liz Williams came to our Club to tell us all about the New Scugog Animal Shelter! The new shelter all began with Ginger's vision. Through her hard work and lobbying the towns of Uxbridge and Port Perry, this vision is well on it's way to becoming a reality. The board was established and through lots of fundraising efforts, they have raised $640,000, over half way to their $1,000,000 goal. They have many upcoming fundraising activities in the near future and are looking for participants. Here are some of their upcoming events: Golf Tournament (June 26th), Pettisimo Benefit Concert (May 30th), Gala (Nov 15th), a walk-a-thon in September, plus many more. The new shelter will be located on Lakeridge Road and a sign will be in the ground soon. We'd love to hear more updates from Ginger and the Board on progress!
