Over 150 attend Annual Seniors Dinner
For the 26th year in a row, Rotarians, friends of Rotary and volunteers from all over Scugog joined in to present the annual Seniors Dinner at Scugog Community Centre on November 19th. It was quite a pleasant surprise to see one visiting Rotarian from Toronto also join in. This friendly gent had expected to do his make-up meeting at Francesco’s however upon arriving at the restaurant he was told of our club’s plan for the evening. In Rotarian fashion, he offered his help to serve meals or do whatever was needed. I hope he enjoyed the experience.
Hosting this event for those who might not have opportunity otherwise to enjoy the social aspect of a grand Christmas party is always a heart-warming experience. Sincere thanks must go out to Terry Coyne, chairperson and the entire committee for organizing the delicious dinner and evening’s entertainment.
A special thank you is extended as well to all of the volunteers from the Royal Bank, TD Canada Trust, Coldwell Banker RMR Real Estate and the fine young men of our local Scouting organization and their leaders.
